Knight Printing was founded in 1888 by Fred Knight, an East Coast printer who relocated to the land known as the Dakota Territory (now North Dakota) in search of fame and fortune. He and his team built a solid reputation of exceptional customer service and quality work. In its 120-year history, a number of different leaders have presided over the company. All have had one thing in common; an unwavering commitment to customers.

In the summer of 2008, Rich Slagle took the helm as President and CEO. Rich and our team continue to build our reputation as the high-quality commercial print communication provider in the region. We are recognized as a premier lean manufacturing facility, and our commitment to customers has never been stronger.

Knight continues to provide printing excellence, but now moves into a more expansive, connected, new-marketing world. Still with traditional moorings but now astride something larger that will take advantage of what the new economy allows, Knight engages in active dialogue with printing, mail and media markets to define and co-create unique value for customers.

Knight is very much involved with the sustainability movevment and has taken great strides to reduce its environmental footprint. Whether it is the effort of seeking Tri-Certification status, which allows for tracking and measurement of raw materials, using post-consumer recycled paper for its house stock, using very low VOC emitting inks or using precess-free printing plates, it is Knight's philosophy to be a good steward within our community.
